GitHub Streak Watch Face (“the app”) is a Garmin Connect IQ watch face published by Priyansh Dwivedi (“the developer”). It displays your own GitHub contribution activity as a heatmap on your watch. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. It is an independent, third-party project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by GitHub, Inc.
To show your contribution graph, the app needs read access to your GitHub account. You create a personal access token at github.com/settings/tokens and paste it into the app’s settings in the Garmin Connect mobile app.
The app makes requests to GitHub’s API (api.github.com) using the token
you provide. Those requests, and any data GitHub collects when it receives them, are
governed by
GitHub’s Privacy Statement,
not by the developer. The developer operates no server and receives none of this data.
None. The developer runs no backend, no analytics, and no advertising. The app communicates only with GitHub. The developer has no access to your token, your account, or your contribution data.
To stop the app from accessing your GitHub account, delete the token from the app’s settings in Garmin Connect and revoke it at github.com/settings/tokens. Uninstalling the watch face removes the token and cached contribution data stored on your watch.
The only third party the app contacts is GitHub, to fetch your own contribution data. The app is distributed through the Garmin Connect IQ Store; any data Garmin collects as part of app distribution is governed by Garmin’s Privacy Policy, not by the developer.
The developer collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “last updated” date.
